Release notes ยท Version 0.2
Augusta
Sign-up and onboarding, Apple Watch support, a more reliable round lifecycle, and a chat that can edit your data when you ask it to.
Known issues
- Wrong club predicted: shot prediction currently tries to name a specific club for every shot, even when the evidence is ambiguous, so it will be wrong at times. Enhancements are planned to allow for uncertainty (for example "mid-iron" or "wedge") and correction.
0.2.8
ReleasedThis release adds sign-up and onboarding screens, including the subscription paywall. Testers are not charged for purchased subscriptions, so it is fine to click through and fake pay. It also shows which courses are ready to play and lets you request a course while we integrate a course data provider.
Chat can now edit and update your data when you ask it to, such as correcting mistakes or supplementing your profile, and renders more cleanly.
Onboarding and subscription
- Added introduction pages for new accounts explaining what the product does and how it works.
- Added the subscription and paywall page. Free for alpha and beta testers.
Shot detection
- Fixed an issue where your clubs and distances were not being used and the fallback defaults were applied instead.
Course selection
While we work out the course data provider integration:
- Course search now shows whether a course's data is available.
- The course data request is available from within the app.
Chat
- Fixed how chat uses and displays tool calls.
- Fixed the ordering of chat messages when tool calls are used.
- Chat can now edit and update more backend data, such as hole analysis, your profile, and action plans.
On course
- Fixed a sync issue where scores entered on the phone were cleared by the watch.
- Removed the control to pause location updates, since they do not restart reliably when using the watch app.
- Changed "pause audio for X minutes" to "remind me to turn it back on in X minutes", since recording cannot reliably resume while the app is in the background.
Post round
- Improved push notification reliability for post-round report readiness.
- Added a way to jump into a chat about priorities and action plans from the main screen.
0.2.6 and 0.2.7
Internal release0.2.5
ReleasedThis release focused on fixing the lifecycle transitions of a round, mainly the post-round flow. Ending a round had a lot of rough edges. It still might, so please pay extra attention when finishing a round and make sure things are smooth, accurate, and obvious.
There is also a fix to prevent the app from subscribing to location updates outside an active round. Please let us know if you see the "New June has used your location in the background" iOS popup.
Range Finder
- Improved auto-targeting, including at the tee box, following fairway lines, using your longest non-driver club for approach distance, and origin-aware targeting (tee versus your location).
Scorecard and stats
- The improved scorecard table shows more data points.
- Easier to see when a score was missed on a previous hole.
- Improved labels and button behavior on the scorecard entry form.
Audio capture and health
- Added speech capture to the health tracker to confirm the whole capture and transcription pipeline is picking up speech.
Post round
- Rebuilt how the app handles post-round report lifecycle transitions for a more reliable flow through debrief, report generation, and completion.
- Fixed push notifications for post-round report readiness.
Apple Watch
- Improvements to the scorecard entry view, such as a single row for penalties.
- Added "Finish Round" after completing the last hole.
- Implemented "plays like" distances and front and back green distances.
- Added a visual warning when audio capture on the phone is disrupted.
Chat
- Improved the UI shown while tool calls are running.
- Fixed chat title generation and updating.
9-hole rounds
- Improved support for front and back 9 rounds.
Misc quality of life improvements
- More reliable round lifecycle (start, pause, resume, end) transitions.
- Upgraded shot prediction to the latest frontier AI models.
- Profile picture support.
